Before I landed on Canadian soil, I wrote about how Paris was the place to be during Autumn. However, I stand corrected.
Only in Quebec have I felt the air so crisp on my face and the smell of Autumn so fresh. The autumnal views render a six hour road trip to Ottawa breathtaking. The pavements and trees are imbued with crunchy leaves in kaleidoscopic colours (colours that I have never seen back in Europe.) It was the time of the year when I made my first road-trip, when I went hiking and whale watching in Tadoussac and when I attended numerous festivities in Quebec City for Halloween and Oktoberfest.
So thanks Quebec, you made my favourite season even more beautiful. You were beyond my expectations.
