I had to pinch myself as I strolled down to the harbour in Tadoussac. The sea was crystal blue and the buildings ever so quint to the extent that even my photos taken on my iphone look half decent! The first thing I noticed when I arrived in Quebec was how much space there is. So much space to relax and breathe in the crisp air.
The coast seemed so serene until a few hours later when the engine roared and my friends and I hopped on a boat to go whale watching. The tranquil nature of the coast did disappear as we were being flung about on a dingy boat and splashed by the waves.
But it was completely worth it. Nature here in Canada is so unbelievably powerful. I kind of feel like I’m in a dream half the time.
A friend and I decided to go for a hike in the national park where we stumbled on views such as this one. We took moments to rest and reflect on the views that were being offered to us. I remember feeling overwhelmed by these spaces and finding it difficult to comprehend nature’s magnitude. Tadoussac, you surpassed expectations.
