I’ve always been a geographical geek so when I finally got the opportunity to go to Niagara falls, I was so excited! I would recommend seeing the falls on the Canadian side since you’re able to see more of a panoramic view. I’d seen so many photos of Niagara Falls in geography lessons at school but what I was about to witness couldn’t be expressed in text books.
When we arrived, we hopped onto the ferry that was recommended by our tour guide (best decision we made!) We were able to get up close to the falls and got absolutely DRENCHED!! However, it did allow us to gain a sense of the sheer power of the waterfalls and was so much fun!!
Although I was slightly disappointed by the urbanization of the surrounding area, I really tried to focus my attention on the falls. I didn’t expect to find a mini Las Vegas and a busy road running next to the Falls. Having said that, it was very convenient to grab a coffee and sandwich from Tim Horton’s and admire the Falls from Clifton Hill park.
Most certainly a destination to add on the Bucket List!
