Without a doubt, I am missing my family more than ever after spending 10 months back at home in the UK. However, I feel like Canada or more specifically, Quebec is where I’m meant to be right now. Here are some photos and the moments where I think about my family the most but also feel like the luckiest person in the world.
These past few weeks have been crazy! I canoed to an island with 20 campers and hiked for 8 hours to another Lake Ouareau. I learned how to make a fire and tasted my first ever S’more!
Sometimes one day feels like a week here because the days are so long! However, working with children can be so rewarding. I love being able to have such an impact on somebody’s day and being able to make them feel more at home even when they’re feeling homesick. You realise how much of a difference you can make to somebody’s day just by your actions and words.
Although I have been bitten to smithereens by mosquitoes, had a frog jump on my leg (EW one of my biggest phobias) and fallen over countless times, I feel like this summer is going to be one I won’t be forgetting any time soon!
