I’ve had the most hectic first two months in Montreal. I settled into my new apartment, furnished my room (thanks IKEA), found a job (which turned out to not be the job role which was advertised) then left… And BREEAAATHE. I am now crossing my fingers and hoping for some good news to come my way!
Meanwhile, I did manage to fit in a trip to Quebec City during a time when Autumn (or Fall) hadn’t yet arrived in Montreal. The one thing I regretted not doing while I was here two years ago was apple picking! So off I went to Ile d’Orleans and it did not disappoint!
I don’t think I have ever tasted an apple that looks and tastes so delicious! Picking it from the trees and being able to eat it straight away was such a treat.
It wouldn’t be a trip out to Ile d’Orleans without stopping by at all the local boutiques. I of course, left with a bag of apples, a bottle of cider and a can of maple syrup!
I’m so grateful to be able to experience Autumn in Quebec again. Even after a difficult few months settling in, seeing views like this with all the colours of Autumn hanging on its trees reiterates why I came back.
